| An international board supervises and manages The GEMI Fund. It consists of members of the medical and scientific world who have a particular interest in medical and pharmaceutical gases. Their specialties include anaesthesiology, intensive care, clinical and basic physiology and pulmonology.
Harvard Medical International and the Board of Research of the Karolinska Institute are scientific partners and members of the GEMI Fund board together with representatives appointed by Linde Gas Therapeutics.
The board will make its decisions by a simple majority vote. A majority of board members will be required to attend meeting, when decisions or votes are taken. If the board is equally divided, the chairman will cast the deciding vote.
The board of the GEMI Fund will set the amount for each grant.
The decision of the board cannot be appealed. However, proposals may be resubmitted for future funding.
